
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis presents Sur Jyotsna National Music Award
Nagpur, Date 22 – The Sur Jyotsna National Music Award organized by Lokmat Media Group was presented by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today.
In a program organized at Suresh Bhat Auditorium in Reshimbagh, renowned singer Usha Mangeshkar was presented with the Legend Award, renowned ghazal singer Talat Aziz was presented with the Icon Award, classical singer Aniruddha Aithal as well as Antara Nandi and Ankita Nandi were presented with the Emerging Talent Award by the Chief Minister.
While congratulating the award winners, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that he is proud that a new generation is coming forward very competently in the field of Indian music today. He expressed his confidence that the emerging artists who have been honored with the National Music Award will achieve fame.
After the award distribution, Ustad Shujaat Hussain Khan and his group presented a performance of Sufi singing and sitar playing. Minister of State for Finance Ashish Jaiswal, former MP Vijay Darda and other dignitaries from various fields were present on the occasion.
