Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should get the proposed projects funded in a big way by ADB
Nagpur, Dist. 17: Emphasis on health, rural road transport, skill development and bamboo projects through 'Maharashtra Institute for Transformation' (MITRA 'Mitra') for all-round, inclusive and dynamic development of the state. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has requested the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to provide a large amount of financial assistance to speed up the ongoing and proposed projects in the state. ADB Director Mio Oka has given a positive response in this regard.
A meeting was held today in the Cabinet Hall of Nagpur Vidhan Bhavan area on various issues related to the Asian Development Bank under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Chief Minister Shri Fadnavis said that rapid development of rural areas is necessary for the development of the state. Therefore, all villages with a population of more than 1000 should be connected to the developed area through roads. Additional 75 thousand seats should be increased through upgradation of industrial training institutes, increase in number of subjects and branches etc. More emphasis should be laid on the health of citizens on the treatment of cervical cancer. He also directed the Secretary to use modern technology and vaccines for this work.
Along with providing supplementary business to farmers through bamboo plantation campaign, various measures should be implemented to increase the forest area. For this, bamboo plants should be made available in nurseries. Efforts should be made to create greenery by planting bamboo in large quantities in the barren land of Marathwada. The Chief Secretary should set a standard procedure (SOP) to speed up ambitious campaigns in the state. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also directed that clarity should be maintained regarding the duration of the campaign and the responsibilities of the concerned parties.
