Chief Minister leaves for Davos for World Economic Forum 2026

Mumbai, January 18: To further accelerate Maharashtra's journey towards a $1 trillion economy, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has departed for Davos, Switzerland, to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026.  Chief Minister Fadnavis is accompanied by Industries Minister Dr. Uday Samant and senior administrative officials for this conference.
The aim is to further strengthen 'Magnetic Maharashtra' as India's growth engine on the global stage, and the world is watching this new 'Maha-Growth' story with anticipation. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that WEF 2026 will play a crucial role in accelerating Maharashtra's progress towards a $1 trillion economy. Last year, Maharashtra signed investment agreements worth ?16 lakh crore. This year, the state government has set a target of attracting even more investment.
During the conference in Davos, discussions will be held with global industrial groups, investors, and policymakers, with a special focus on attracting foreign direct investment, industrial projects, job creation, and boosting economic development in Maharashtra.
