Chief Minister will implement Maha Arogya Skill Development Training Program in the state - Nawab Malik

MUMBAI: Skill development training in the fields of healthcare, medical, nursing and domestic healthcare workers will be imparted to the youth who are willing to work in the health sector in the state to provide skilled manpower to the health and medical sector in the event of an epidemic. For this, under the Pramod Mahajan Skills and Entrepreneurship Development Campaign, 'Chief Minister Maha Arogya Skills Development Training Program' will be implemented and 20,000 youths will be imparted training through this, said Skills Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Minister Nawab Malik.
A detailed ruling in this regard has been issued today and is available on the website of the Government of Maharashtra. Currently, the training will be launched soon in view of the Corona outbreak as well as in the event of a possible third wave to prepare sufficient manpower in the health sector. Besides, the manpower will be utilized in the post-Corona period as well and these youths will get permanent employment along with training, said Minister Malik.
Minister Malik said that all government hospitals in the state as well as medical education institutes would be selected by registering them as vocational training institutes through the Green Channel. Private hospitals with more than 20 beds will also be selected by registering as vocational training institutes. Training will be imparted to the youth through these institutes. The number of candidates in the training team should be minimum 20 and maximum 30. But as a special case, for this scheme, the minimum number of trainees in the training unit will be allowed up to 5.
