He said, 'The CWC unanimously appealed to Rahul Gandhi to play the role of Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha. Rahul ji is the most suitable person to lead this campaign inside Parliament.'

A meeting of the extended Congress Working Committee was held under the chairmanship of party president Mallikarjun Kharge. In this, the contribution of Mallikarjun Kharge, former president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi in the Lok Sabha elections was also appreciated. A resolution was also passed regarding this.
