Thane, June 5, 2025: The number of Covid-19 patients is increasing again in the Thane Municipal Corporation area, and the total number of patients has reached 130. Of these, 16 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals, 13 patients are admitted to private hospitals and 3 patients are admitted to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital, Kalwa. 51 patients are currently in stable condition in home quarantine. A separate ward has been arranged for Covid in the Civil Hospital in Thane. Doctors have stated that all the patients have mild symptoms.
Current status of Covid-19 in Maharashtra
The number of active Covid-19 patients in Maharashtra has crossed 500. The maximum number of patients have been found in Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. Since January 2025, 10,324 Covid tests have been conducted in the state, out of which 681 patients have been found positive. As of May 30, 207 patients have recovered. This includes 32 patients in Mumbai, 14 in Thane, 1 in Navi Mumbai and 1 in Kalyan-Dombivli. The state is currently conducting ILI (Influenza Like Illness) and SARI (Severe Acute Respiratory Infection) surveys, which are helping to accurately estimate the number of patients.
