Nagpur, July 11: The country's largest International Agricultural Convention and Exhibition Center, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, is being constructed in the Dabha area of ??Nagpur. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inspected the site today and expressed satisfaction with the progress of the work.

Chief Minister Fadnavis expressed confidence that this center would gain global renown as a venue for various exhibitions and conferences—beyond just agricultural ones—thereby giving Nagpur city a distinct identity.

The state government is constructing this center on a 21.7-hectare plot belonging to Panjabrao Deshmukh Agricultural University, adjacent to Dabha village. The center is located in close proximity to the airport and the railway station; it is merely 7.8 km away from Zero Mile. Excellent connectivity from all directions is a key feature of this center. The exterior will feature landscaping and fountains, while the interior will house conference and seminar halls, a boardroom, and a dining hall. Additionally, there will be extensive parking facilities, including dedicated spaces for buses alongside two-wheelers and four-wheelers.

Another highlight is an auditorium with a seating capacity of 2,000; it will be the largest auditorium of its kind in the country. State-of-the-art fire safety measures are being implemented throughout the facility. The responsibility for executing this project has been entrusted to MSIDC. Superintending Engineer Naresh Borkar briefed the Chief Minister on the project details through a presentation and reported that 60 percent of the work has been completed so far.
