Dharmesh Dhawankar taking lakhs of rupees from professors in the complaint of sexual harassment

Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University should form a committee under the chairmanship of Pro-Chancellor of Nagpur University regarding the case of Dharmesh Dhawankar taking lakhs of rupees from professors in the complaint of sexual harassment: Deputy Chairman No. Dr. Neelam Gorhe
            Mumbai, Dt. 30: Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj will hold a meeting with the Investigating Police Officer and the Commissioner of Police in the case of Dharmesh Dhawankar taking lakhs of rupees from seven professors in the sexual harassment complaint in Nagpur University. Higher Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Dr. Said today that he will take Neelam Gorhe's suggestion.

      A meeting was held today at the Vidhan Bhavan under the chairmanship of Legislative Council Deputy Speaker Dr. Neelam Gorhe regarding the issue of measures against incidents of harassment in colleges and universities and the problems of Women's Study Center in Nagpur University.

           Dr. Subhash Chaudhary, Vice Chancellor of Nagpur University, Ajit Baviskar, Deputy Secretary of Higher and Technical Education Department, Kishore Jakate, Under Secretary of Higher and Technical Education Department, Suyash Dusane, Administrative Officer of Directorate of Higher Education, Dhammasangini Ramagorakh of Women's Studies Center etc. were present in this meeting.

         Dr. Gorhe said at this time, Visakha committee meetings should be held regularly in universities and colleges. Grievances received in this meeting should be reviewed every month. Also there should be a complaint box in the facade of every college. A report should be sought as to whether a complaint box has been kept in each college and university. A report should be submitted within one month about how many complaints of women have been received in the university, how many complaints have been resolved and how many complaints are pending. Complaints of harassment of students in universities and colleges should be settled immediately through the Visakha Committee. For this, a legal assistant should be appointed as per requirement. Also, if media outlets have any specific information about such sexual complaints, they should report it to the Internal Grievance Redressal Committee, Vice-Chancellor or Vice-Chancellor's office. Complaints about incidents of women abuse in the state are registered in the police station. State level data base of this complaint must be consolidated
           Rules regarding safety of college students should be strictly followed. A meeting of all the Vice-Chancellors of the state regarding the incident of atrocities in universities and colleges will be held soon in the presence of the Minister of Higher and Technical Education. In this meeting, a strategic decision will be taken regarding the complaint of torture against women in the state, said Dr. Gorhe said at this time.
