New Delhi: Amidst the student protest at Jantar Mantar over the NEET paper leak issue, Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav demonstrated great humanity. Her compassionate side was evident as she assisted a student who had been injured and had lost consciousness following a police lathi-charge.
Chaos erupted suddenly during the protest, and several students were injured in the police action. Setting aside protocol, Dimple Yadav sat on the ground and gave water to the injured student. Noticing the student was struggling to breathe, she personally unbuttoned his shirt and immediately called for medical aid. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, and her actions are being widely praised.
Taking an aggressive stance during the protest, Dimple Yadav condemned the police action. She stated, "The police used excessive force. Female students were treated very poorly; some even had their clothes torn." Strongly criticizing the central government, she described the day as a 'black day' for democracy.
She also demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Extending her support to the hunger strike by Sonam Wangchuk—who is championing the students' demands—Dimple Yadav called for a resolution to the students' grievances.
Against the backdrop of political conflict, Dimple Yadav’s display of humanity has become a major topic of discussion.
