Economics Explosives Company premises declared a ‘No-Fly Zone’
Nagpur, January 16: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Nagpur on Sunday, January 18. During this visit, he will be visiting the Economics Explosives Company. In view of this proposed visit, and for security reasons, the company premises have been declared a ‘No-Fly Zone’. During this period, any drone launches and the use of drones will be prohibited, as per the orders issued by District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar.
According to the order issued by the District Collector's office, the entire premises of the Economics Explosives Company at Shiva (Sawanga) will be a ‘No-Fly Zone’ from 00:01 AM on January 17, 2026, to 12:00 AM on January 18, 2026. During this period, except for the Union Defence Minister's helicopter, all other means of air travel, as well as the launching and use of drones, will be prohibited. The order also clarifies that if permission for drones is required, it will be mandatory to obtain permission from the competent authorities. These orders have been issued under Section 163 of the Indian Citizen Security Code 2023.
