Folk singer Sharda Sinha lost the battle of life, breathed her last at the age of 72

New Delhi: Renowned folk singer Sharda Sinha died on Tuesday. She breathed her last at the age of 72 in AIIMS, Delhi. Sharda Sinha's health suddenly deteriorated on Monday, after which she was put on ventilator support. She was also called the 'Swar Kokila' of Bihar. Sharda Sinha gave her voice to many Chhath songs. There is a wave of mourning in the country due to her goodbye to this world during the Chhath festival.
Sharda Sinha's husband recently died of brain hemorrhage. After this, her health also started deteriorating. Recently, she was detected with bone marrow cancer. After which she was undergoing treatment in the Oncology Medical Department of AIIMS.
On the evening of November 4, Sharda Sinha's oxygen level had dropped significantly, after which she was on ventilator. On Tuesday itself, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had spoken to Sharda Sinha's son Anshuman Sinha over the phone and inquired about her health.
