Goewada zoo closed from Monday PTR, BTR, NNTR to remain closed from Tuesday

Nagpur- 9: The management of Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada Zoo and Park will keep jungle safari closed to tourists from Monday, following directives by the government issued on Saturday imposing curbs in view of Omicron/Covid19 cases all over Maharashtra.
P B Panchbhai, Divisional Manager, Gorewada Zoo Project, informed on Sunday that the government asked managements of parks, zoos and ticket selling places to keep them closed owing to rise in the cases. Therefore, Gorewada Park and Indian safari are being closed till further notice. He appealed to tourists to take a note of this closure.
-Umrer-Paoni-Karhandla Wildlife Sanctury to also reamain closed
Pench, Bor and Navegaon-Nagzira Tiger Reserves as well as Umrer-Paoni-Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary will remain closed for tourists from Tuesday.
R M Ramanujam, Field Director of the above parks, has taken this decision, taking cognizance of surge in covid cases and directives issued by the government. He also discussed the issue with higher authorities and took the decision of closure till further notice.
