Good news for soybean growers; Centre's soybean meal is not a rectangular idea
Latur - Latur is a leading district for soybean growers in the state. In the past, poultry traders in the country had lobbied for permission to import soybean meal, but now it has come to an end. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal himself tweeted solace to soybean growers.
Maharashtra is leading in soybean production in the country. Poultry traders had decided to import 12 lakh metric tonnes of soybean meal by lobbying as the cost of production of chickens is increasing. Out of this, six and a half lakh metric tonnes of soybean meal has been imported.
Farmers leader Pasha Patel called on Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal today and apprised him of the demands of poultry traders and the financial loss to soybean growers.
