New Delhi. Amidst the controversy over grace marks in NEET exam, NTA has taken a big decision. The central government told the Supreme Court on Thursday that the grace marks given to 1563 students are being withdrawn. Now the scorecard of these people will be visible without grace marks and the merit will be prepared on that basis. Apart from this, if the students who get grace marks want to appear for the exam again, then they can sit for the exam on June 23.
The central government's lawyer told the court that the result of this exam will also be released on June 30. Not only this, these 1563 students will also have the option of not appearing for the exam. Students who do not appear for the exam will participate in counseling with the scorecard made after the grace marks are removed. At the same time, a new scorecard will be prepared for the students who appeared in the exam after the result is declared on June 30. The court has now fixed July 8 for the next hearing of this case.

The Supreme Court, however, has refused to stop the counseling for now. The petitioners have been advised to wait for the decision. During the hearing, the Central Government also told the Supreme Court that the result of the re-examination of NEET-UG will come on June 30. Counseling for admission in MBBS, BDS and other courses will start on July 6.

The Supreme Court said during the hearing that the counseling will continue and we will not stop it. The Supreme Court said that if our decision includes the cancellation of the exam, then the counseling will also be cancelled automatically. Therefore, students should not worry about it.

Scorecards of those with grace marks will be cancelled

The 1563 candidates who have been given grace marks will have to appear for the exam again. All the score cards issued to 1563 candidates will be cancelled.
