HD Revanna in SIT custody

-CBI can issue Blue Corner Notice against Prajwal
Bengaluru: HD Revanna, father of JD-S MP Prajjwal Revanna, implicated in the pen drive scandal, has been detained by the SIT. A case of kidnapping was registered against him at KR Nagar police station in Bengaluru.
Earlier, the SIT investigating the case had told Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that CBI can issue a Blue Corner Notice against Prajjwal. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had held an important meeting with SIT officials, during which he asked them to take immediate action to arrest Prajjwal Revanna.
In the meeting, SIT officials told the CM that appropriate steps would be taken to arrest Revanna. SIT said that as soon as information is received about Prajjwal reaching the airport, he will be arrested immediately. SIT has requested CBI to issue a Blue Corner Notice against Prajwal Revanna in this case. The investigation team expressed hope that after issuing the Blue Corner Notice against the Hassan MP, information about his whereabouts could be obtained.
Prajwal had gone abroad on 27th April
It was reported that Prajjwal Revanna had gone abroad on April 27 after the first phase of voting in Karnataka. His lawyer had sought seven days' time to appear before the SIT, to which the investigation team replied that this was not possible. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has directed the SIT to take immediate action to arrest Prajjwal. Also, strictest action has been taken against the people involved in this case.
