HSRP Number Plate Installation Deadline Extended Till June 30; Vehicle Owners Are Tensioned However

HSRP Number Plate News: The Maharashtra Transport Department has extended the deadline for installation of High Security Number Plates on vehicles for the third time. High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) have been made mandatory for vehicles sold before April 2019. The Transport Department had extended the deadline to March 31, then it was extended to April 30. After that, the deadline has been extended again till June 30, 2025. According to an official letter, the Transport Department has decided to extend the deadline for the third time due to the installation of HSRP in fewer vehicles than expected.
Although the deadline for installation of HSRP number plates has been extended, the tension of vehicle owners has increased. Because although the deadline for installation of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) is extended till June 30, vehicle owners are getting appointments for the month of July. Due to this, there is an atmosphere of confusion among vehicle owners. Many vehicle owners are worried as they are getting appointments after July 15.
Online registration is being done to get HSRP plates. Through this, they are getting appointments for the month of July. The state transport department has given this work to three companies. However, it is being complained that the number of fitment centers that can install their plates is very small. Vehicle owners are expressing their anger as it takes half a day to install HSRP in some places.
Advantages of using HSRP number plates
If the HSRP number plate needs to be changed, there is no option but to break it. Therefore, it is difficult for the vehicle to be stolen. Due to the coding system, information related to the vehicle is available immediately after scanning. No changes can be made to the registration number written on the plate. The number plate comes into the sight of high-resolution cameras immediately. It is easy to read data from the QR code. In case of an accident, complete information about the vehicle owner is available within a few seconds through the QR code.
HSRP plates are made of steel and have laser-printed numbers on them, which makes them difficult to copy. Once applied, it is difficult to remove without causing any damage. This will make it difficult for criminals to get a chance to change the number plate.
