Delhi: Union Minister Chirag Paswan has sharply criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over the protest march organized by the 'INDIA' alliance to the Supreme Court today. After the Chief Justice of India (CJI) rejected the opposition's request for a meeting, Paswan took to social media to target Gandhi.
In his post, Chirag Paswan wrote, "Respected Rahul Gandhi-ji, you were walking around holding the Constitution. Yet, today, the Chief Justice of the country taught you the true lesson regarding the Constitution. You set out with a memorandum but returned having learned a lesson from the CJI... Justice is sought through a legal petition, not a memorandum. The Supreme Court has already delivered its verdict on the SIR. Arguments failed in court, so now you take to the streets to pressure the judiciary?"
BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal also criticized the opposition on this issue. He said, "Let Tejashwi Yadav find even one person in Bihar who faced difficulties due to the SIR. The country's first SIR was conducted in Bihar; everyone toured in Rahul Gandhi-ji's jeep for 15 days, yet they could not find a single person who would stand up against it." He further alleged that the opposition is unnecessarily politicizing the issue.
