How will those who couldn't protect God's offerings stop paper leaks? Akhilesh Yadav asks; Kiren Rijiju responds
Delhi (Lok Sabha): A discussion took place on Tuesday (July 28) regarding the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Bill, which had been tabled in the Lok Sabha on Monday. During the session, Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav sharply criticized the central government.
Speaking on the issue of paper leaks, Akhilesh Yadav said, "How will those who could not protect God's offerings stop paper leaks? Offerings vanished from the sanctum sanctorum. They are pulling the wool over people's eyes. Question papers for 20 exams were leaked. The matter had to go to court, and subsequently, the exams were cancelled."
He further noted that approximately 20 lakh students had taken the exams. If one considers an average of five family members per student, the figure reaches one crore. "This is the first protest I have seen where parents told their children to go out and protest. If this is wrong, then bring the Home Minister; let him clarify everything," he added.
Objections regarding outsourcing at NTA
Akhilesh Yadav also criticized the appointments of officials within the NTA. "We are wary of outsourcing. We shouldn't reach a point where the entire government gets outsourced. All staff at the NTA are outsourced. We need to know who the people were that sat within the NTA and orchestrated the scam," he questioned.
Rijiju mentions the Emergency; Akhilesh retorts
Meanwhile, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju made a pointed remark: "Tell me, is it better to introduce a bill following a protest, or to impose an Emergency to crush a protest?" Responding to this, Akhilesh Yadav said, “We did not witness the Emergency, but now we have seen in Delhi what it was like. Tear gas shells were used, and devices resembling wooden planks studded with nails—charged with electric current—were deployed. What happened in Delhi was no less than the Emergency. If they are reminded of the Emergency, let us remember that change followed it back then, and change will occur this time as well. Donations have been stolen, and even secret contributions have been misappropriated. Even God will not forgive you.”

Uttar Pradesh has seen the highest number of such closures. A massive scam took place during the recruitment of 69,000 teachers. The rights of the most backward classes have been snatched away,” he criticized. He urged the government not to let the youth become a crisis; he emphasized that quality education would inevitably lead to progress.
