Increase the power of Marathi language in the age of AI: Raj Thackeray's unique advice

Mumbai, February 27, 2026: On the occasion of Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Diwas, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has caught everyone's attention with a unique and far-reaching advice. Referring to the recent AI (Artificial Intelligence) Summit held in Delhi, he appealed to Marathi speakers to increase the strength of the language using AI. According to him, AI is not just a technology, but a big opportunity to make Marathi language powerful in the digital world.
Raj Thackeray wrote in his social media post, "Today there is a huge opportunity not only for Marathi but for all the local languages ??of the world who have their own scripts." He explained that the more and better data is available in Marathi language in AI systems, the more Marathi language will become powerful. For this, he says, it is necessary for Marathi speakers to express themselves more and more in Marathi on social media, start blogs, create podcasts and teach the study of AI in Marathi in schools.
Thackeray cited history and said that after the discovery of agriculture, land became powerful, after the industrial revolution, machines, data in the digital age and now in the era of AI, the language through which data will be created will be powerful. "We should see that Marathi language will create huge but high-quality data," he said. He also expressed his belief that although there is a fear of job loss due to AI, Marathi people can build a new empire using this technology.
In this post, Thackeray wished all those who are not Marathi speakers but respect Marathi. He said, "We have been raising our voice for the sovereignty of Marathi language and Marathi province, now with this artificial intelligence, it is possible to achieve sovereignty in terms of getting knowledge through Marathi language. Do not miss this opportunity."
This advice from Raj Thackeray gives a new dimension to Marathi Language Gaurav Din. While the role of language is changing in the era of AI, this sends a message that it is time for Marathi speakers to actively participate in the digital world. MNS activists and Marathi lovers have responded positively to this appeal.
