
Inspection of Nagpur Flying Club by Justices
Nagpur 27: Start the old and renowned Nagpur Flying Club in the country as soon as possible and start pilot training in Vidarbha along with Central India, such instructions were given by Justice Sunil Shukre and Justice Anil Pansare of Nagpur Bench of Mumbai High Court.
Nagpur Flying Club has a glorious history and has given many pilots to the country. Mrs. Prajakta Lavangare-Verma, Divisional Commissioner and Chairperson said that the training of Flying Club will be started soon considering the career opportunities in the field of aviation.
A public interest litigation has been filed in the Nagpur Bench of the Mumbai High Court seeking commencement of actual pilot training at Nagpur Flying Club. Regarding the launch of the Flying Club as per the directions of the court, the judges visited the Flying Club at Sonegaon Airport today and inspected it. The four planes belonging to the Flying Club are ready for training. Cessna took direct part in the ground run of the 172 aircraft. Also inspected the inside of the aircraft, maintenance and repair information. Informed about the work done so far for starting Nagpur Flying Club.
Justice Sunil Shukre and Justice Anil Pansare, while getting information about the entire hangar, discussed with the authorities about starting pilot training. Divisional Commissioner Smt. Prajakta Lavangare-Verma informed that the process of inviting applications from the youth for pilot training will be started next week.
The judges expressed satisfaction over the efforts made by the authorities here to start a Nagpur Flying Club. The judges also suggested that a plan be drawn up for the future plans and activities of the club.
