Khalistani leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun extends direct support to CJP protests;

Canada: The ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) protests in Delhi have now received open support from a Khalistani group. Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, leader of the Khalistani organization ‘Sikhs for Justice,’ announced in Edmonton, Canada, that funds would be provided for CJP’s protests as part of a ‘fifth-generation war’ against India. Pannun stated that he is prepared to finance CJP’s agitations and movements within the country. He also outlined a strategy to encourage Sikh youth to undergo weapons training under the banner of a ‘Sikh Homeland Security’ force. During his remarks, Pannun also engaged in inflammatory rhetoric, declaring, “Neither Hindi, nor Hindustan, nor Hindutva... Delhi will become Khalistan.” He further claimed that ‘Khalistan’ is the only solution, while speaking of economically destroying India and referring to a ‘genocide’ allegedly being perpetrated through the spread of narcotics. Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is an American-Canadian Khalistani leader of Indian origin and the head of the ‘Sikhs for Justice’ organization. Originally from the village of Khankot near Amritsar in Punjab, Pannun faces numerous charges in India related to anti-national activities and inciting violence. The CJP initially staged protests at Jantar Mantar over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination. Subsequently, they raised issues regarding the selection process for Election Commissioners and demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The fact that this movement has now received direct support from a Khalistani group has become a major subject of discussion.
