Kumar Ashirwad Assumes Charge as District Collector
Nagpur, June 6: The new District Collector, Kumar Ashirwad, today assumed charge of the Nagpur District Collector's office, taking over from the outgoing Collector, Dr. Vipin Itankar. On this occasion, Dr. Itankar extended his best wishes to him. Immediately after assuming charge, he convened a meeting of department heads to review the functioning of each department, as well as the key schemes and matters currently under their purview.
Prior to this assignment, District Collector Kumar Ashirwad served as the District Collector in Solapur. While serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Zilla Parishad in Gadchiroli, he implemented the 'Phulora' initiative for primary school students during the COVID-19 pandemic—an endeavor that was subsequently honored with a National Award. During his tenure in Solapur, he significantly bolstered transparent administration.
