LIT Will Provide Excellent Engineers to the World – Devendra Fadnavis
– Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Proposed Campus –
Nagpur, March 3: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed his confidence that the Laxminarayan Institute of Innovative Technology—an institution that has been operational for eight decades—will continue its legacy of providing excellent engineers to both the nation and the world in the future, just as its alumni are currently spread across the globe.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the integrated construction of various academic and administrative facilities at the Laxminarayan Institute of Innovative Technology was performed by Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis this morning. He addressed the gathering following the ceremony. Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Mayor Neeta Thakre attended the event as chief guests.
Noting that the institution was granted university status a few years ago, Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis stated that this elevation not only enhanced its academic standing but also paved the way for the construction of a grand and beautiful educational complex on the premises. Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis further affirmed that the university would be recognized globally as an educational hub of international standards.
The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the groundbreaking ceremony performed by Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Atul Vaidya delivered the introductory remarks. In his address, Dr. Vaidya highlighted that the institution—formerly known as the Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT)—was renamed the Laxminarayan Institute of Innovative Technology after Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis granted it university status. The proceedings were anchored by Saurabh Joglekar, while Registrar Dr. Neeraj Khati proposed the vote of thanks.
