Launch of various social media platforms of Maharashtra Pollution Control Board


Mumbai: Maharashtra Pollution Control Board's various social media platforms were launched by Minister for Environment and Climate Change Aditya Thackeray and in the presence of Minister of State for Environment Sanjay Bansode.
Manisha Mhaiskar, Principal Secretary, Environment Department, Abasaheb Jarhad, Chairman, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, Ashok Shingare, Member Secretary, Pundalik Mirashe, Assistant Secretary (Technical) were present on the occasion.
Minister Thackeray said, "Even though we have been facing corona for the last one and a half years, we are working for my Vasundhara Abhiyan, protection of Kandal forests, growth of forests." Maharashtra can lead the world in terms of environmental protection. Social media will be an important tool in this. Social media is a mirror of the present and a reflection of our work. Therefore, it is necessary to have maximum public dialogue through this medium, he said.
Minister of State Sanjay Bansode said that any event happening in the world reaches the corners of the world through social media in an instant. So digital media has become a very important medium. Now that the Pollution Control Board is on social media, it will be of great use for information and public awareness on environmental protection and pollution control, he said.
