Leave Delhi-NCR, pollution has wreaked havoc in

Chhattisgarh! 7000 acres of crops have been destroyed
Mahasamund News: These days, Delhi-NCR is being discussed everywhere due to pollution. There, schools and colleges had to be made online and all kinds of restrictions had to be imposed, but a different problem has arisen regarding pollution (Mahasamund Pollution) in Mahasamund, about 1300 km from the country's capital. Here, due to pollution from steel and power plants, about 7000 acres of standing crops in 15 villages have been completely destroyed. The farmers are upset but also helpless. Now the MLA and MP of the area have assured to raise the matter before the central and state government.
Such black smoke comes out at the time of harvesting paddy in the villages affected by pollution in Mahasamund.
From crops to vegetables, everything is spoiled
In fact, farmers of 15 villages including Khairjhiti, Malidih, Pirda, Kaunwajhar in Mahasamund assembly constituency worked tirelessly and grew different types of crops in their fields. The crop was ready but no one was ready to buy it in the market. Government agencies also rejected it at government paddy procurement centers. The reason is pollution. Due to this, the ripe paddy crop has turned black. The vegetables grown by the farmers have also been spoiled. If you go around these areas, you will find trees and plants also turning black. Farmers say that their money has also been wasted due to this. If we assess these ruined crops, then this loss will be in crores. Apart from crops and trees, people's houses are also turning black due to pollution.
Due to pollution, even the big trees and plants present in the area are turning black.
Due to pollution, even the big trees and plants present in the area are turning black. MLA said- will get compensation for farmers
Farmers say the reason for this is Karni Kripa Steel and Power Plant. Mahasamund MLA Yogeshwar Raju Sinha also reached the spot on the complaint of the villagers. He inspected the entire area. He also spoke to journalists in Tumgaon. He told that pollution is happening due to the steel plant. The field which earlier used to yield more than 20 quintals is now getting only 10 quintals of paddy. Out of that too, 50 percent of the crop is getting spoiled due to pollution. This spoiled paddy is neither worth selling nor worth eating. In such a situation, farmers are suffering a lot. He said that he will complain about this matter to Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Environment Minister OP Choudhary. The MLA himself told that Mahasamund Lok Sabha MP Roopkumari Choudhary has complained about this to the Union Minister. He told that he will try to get compensation for the farmers from the steel power plant.
How does pollution occur from steel power plant?
In fact, steel and cement industries are one of the most polluting industries in the world. The coke used to make steel and the polluted water released from the coking process are very harmful to the environment. The naphthalene released from the coke oven makes the air poisonous. Cyanide, sulphide, ammonium and ammonia are also released in the coking process. Apart from this, a huge amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) is also released from the steel plant.
