Let's face the third wave of the corona, the system ready - Dr. Nitin Raut

Nagpur, dt. 19: In view of the possibility of a possible third wave of corona, the necessary medical facilities for the treatment of young children are being provided with priority. The availability of oxygen is planned keeping in view the requirement of 480 MT of oxygen in the district. Oxygen jumbo tanks with a storage capacity of 125 metric tonnes arrived in the city from Tamil Nadu today. This jumbo tank will be set up in the Government Psychiatric Hospital premises. In the hall of the Divisional Commissioner's Office, the Guardian Minister reviewed the measures to be implemented regarding corona, vaccination and precautions to be taken in the context of the third wave. Raut took over, he was talking at the time.
The meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioner Smt. Prajakta Lavangare-Verma, Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B., Collector R. Vimala, Chief Executive Officer Yogesh Kumbhejkar, District Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ola, Task Force Chief Dr. Bhrishundi, Dr. Dr. Sarnaik, Dean of Government Medical College, Deputy Director of Health. Sanjay Jaiswal was present.
While instructing to increase the speed of vaccination considering the possibility of a third wave, the Guardian Minister Dr. Raut said the number of infected patients and the death rate in the city as well as in the district are under control. But it is very important to have medical facilities available considering the possible situation. Considering the district's requirement of 480 metric tonnes of oxygen, a 125 metric tonne liquid medical oxygen storage tank will be installed at the psychiatric hospital from Tamil Nadu and the jumbo tank has arrived in the city today. It will cost Rs 1 crore 96 lakh and will be completed in the next 15 days, he said.
Pay special attention to dengue patients
The number of dengue patients in the city as well as in the district has been steadily increasing. Raut said 118 patients were found in rural areas and 87 in urban areas. He said that public awareness campaign should be launched in the district to control dengue patients and appeal to the people to observe 'dry days'.
Suggesting that priority should be given to large scale industrial groups for vaccination of workers working in the industrial sector as well as assistance for purchase of vaccines, the Guardian Minister said, adding that there are 1 lakh 75 thousand workers in various sectors in the district.
In addition to the first vaccination of citizens between the ages of 18 and 45, the second dose should be increased when the required dose for vaccination is reported. About 11 lakh 42 thousand citizens have been vaccinated in the district and 3 lakh 20 thousand citizens have taken the second dose.
Divisional Commissioner Smt. Prajakta Lavangare-Verma said that considering the possibility of a third wave, planning is being done to provide adequate number of oxygen beds, necessary medical facilities and medicines. Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar informed that the fire audit of Kovid Hospital in the city and municipal area should be completed immediately and necessary measures should be taken for the occasion. Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan b. He said that vaccination is being carried out at 156 centers in the city and 25 to 30 thousand people are being vaccinated in the city every day. The city expects to get 1 lakh doses. Chief Executive Officer Yogesh Kumbhejkar informed about health facilities and vaccination in rural areas.
