MAHATET Exam on June 28; June 21 Date Cancelled Due to NEET; Candidates Get Extra Study Time

MAHATET Exam Postponed; Both Papers Now Scheduled for June 28
Nagpur / Wardha: The Maharashtra State Council of Examination has announced a change in the date for the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHATET-2026). Originally scheduled for June 21, 2026, the exam will now be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026. This change has been necessitated by the NEET exam.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has scheduled the NEET exam nationwide for June 21. Administrative difficulties arose because the same exam centers had been designated for both MAHATET and NEET in several cities across Maharashtra. The Examination Council took this decision to avoid inconvenience to students and ensure the smooth conduct of the exams.
Anuradha Oak, Commissioner of the Examination Council, has made the official announcement regarding this change. This rescheduling provides candidates with an additional seven days for preparation.
Revised Schedule:
Admit Card Download: Available from June 16, 2026, to June 28, 2026.
Paper 1: June 28, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
Paper 2: June 28, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
The Examination Council has clarified that the schedule is subject to change due to unavoidable circumstances. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website, https://mahatet.in, for updates.
