Madhya Pradesh Government's Pledge to Save Petrol and Diesel; CM Mohan Yadav Decides on a 'Reduced Convoy' Policy
Bhopal: Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for fuel conservation, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has taken a significant decision. Henceforth, during PM Modi's visits, his convoy will comprise only the bare minimum—and strictly essential—vehicles. Furthermore, no vehicle rallies of any kind will be organized during his tours.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav clarified, "In accordance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal, Madhya Pradesh remains fully committed to conserving petrol and diesel in the national interest. Until further notice, my convoy will be restricted to the absolute minimum number of vehicles—strictly from a security perspective—and no vehicle rallies of any kind will be held."
Additionally, directives have been issued to other ministers and senior officials within the state to also limit their use of vehicles to the bare minimum. Chief Minister Yadav has personally appealed to all ministers to exercise restraint and minimize their vehicle usage.
This decision is regarded as a significant step toward reducing dependence on petrol and diesel imports, as well as contributing to environmental protection.
