Political Turmoil in West Bengal! Sting Video of Alleged ?1,000 Crore Deal Goes Viral
West Bengal's political landscape has been thrown into turmoil. The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has released an alleged sting video, accusing Humayun Kabir—the chief of the 'Aam Janata Unnayan Party'—of involvement in a financial transaction worth ?1,000 crore.
According to the TMC, the video purportedly shows Humayun Kabir discussing a massive financial deal with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It is further alleged that the motive behind this transaction was to split the votes during the elections.
Furthermore, it is reported that discussions regarding an advance payment of approximately ?300 crore were also held as part of this alleged deal. The TMC has demanded that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conduct an inquiry into this matter.
Meanwhile, Humayun Kabir has vehemently denied all these allegations, claiming that the video is an "AI-generated fake." He has termed the entire episode a political conspiracy and has warned that he will initiate legal action if the allegations are not substantiated.
This controversy is likely to further intensify the election politics in West Bengal, as political parties across the spectrum appear to be engaging in a fierce war of mutual accusations.
