Major accident during Shirgaon Yatra! 6 devotees die in stampede; 30 injured

Goa: A major accident has come to light from Goa. There are reports of a stampede during a fair in Shirgaon, Goa. It is reported that 6 people died in this stampede, while 10 people are said to be injured. It is said that the stampede took place during the Shri Lairai Yatra. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police rushed to the spot and admitted the injured to a nearby hospital.
Detailed information about this is that a major stampede took place during a procession of a yatra in North Goa. In this accident that took place late on Saturday (May 3) night, about 6 people died and 30 people were injured. All the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. On receiving the news of the stampede, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also became active. He went to the hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured and consoled the affected families.
The reason behind the stampede is currently being investigated. The initial police investigation could not clarify the reason for the stampede. The identities of those who died in the stampede are yet to be ascertained. It is being said that the administration has made extensive arrangements for this event. A special police team was also deployed to ensure that there is no disruption during the yatra. Drones were also used by the administration to monitor the crowd.
Meanwhile, special preparations are made in Shirgaon for this fair. The entire Shirgaon has been decorated to make this occasion special. On this occasion, devotees go to the Lairai temple of the goddess to pray. It is believed that the goddess loves garlands of mogra flowers very much, which is why garlands made of mogra flowers are specially offered in this temple. Many devotees observe fast during this fair.
