Make clear allegations, speak by name: Sunil Tatkare's warning
Baramati, February 28, 2026: Today marks one month since the accidental death of late Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. On this occasion, NCP state president Sunil Tatkare paid his respects at the memorial at Vidya Pratishthan Maidan in Baramati and had darshan.
Interacting with reporters, Tatkare said, "The NCP's position from the beginning has been that a thorough investigation into the plane crash should be conducted. The Union Minister and the Chief Minister have also ordered an investigation, and that process is underway. Under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, we met the Chief Minister and demanded an investigation on behalf of the party. The Chief Minister also sent a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah, making this demand. The investigation is underway through the CBI. Everyone feels bad for Dada, so everyone expects an investigation into this incident to be started soon. The issues mentioned in the investigation should also be investigated."
Tatkare further said, "After Dada's death, we demanded that the sisters-in-law take responsibility. The sisters-in-law accepted this responsibility bravely, considering the entire people as their family. We thank them. Critics may criticize, but we have fulfilled our duty honestly."
Stating that everyone knows who said what about Dada earlier, Tatkare said, "During the Jan Sanman Yatra, Ajit Dada himself had said in Baramati that I am alone in the family. Dada and I know who went to the BJP to seek a ticket in 2019. Therefore, I do not care about who is saying what. Ajit Dada and I have a 40-year journey. I am a witness to many of their things. If anyone wants to accuse, they should speak clearly by name. There is no use in making vague statements. Let those who want to speak speak, time will answer everything." Tatkare indirectly took a dig at Rohit Pawar without naming him.
