Modi attacks Ahilyabai Holkar's legacy: Congress alleges destruction of Manikarnika Ghat

Congress leader Harshvardhan Sapkal has strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that Modi, like Mahmud Ghaznavi, has destroyed the Manikarnika Ghat built by Ahilyabai Holkar. He alleged that this action is an attempt to erase Ahilyabai's memory and an insult to the Dhangar community. Sapkal warned that Modi should apologize, otherwise the Congress party will launch a protest.
The Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi is a significant part of Ahilyabai Holkar's legacy. However, the Congress is alleging that Modi and the BJP government have demolished it using bulldozers. Sapkal said, "The BJP has tried to destroy Ahilyabai's legacy. The sentiments of the Dhangar community have been insulted. Modi should apologize immediately."
The political atmosphere has heated up due to this incident. The Congress party has termed it a distortion of history. Sapkal further stated, "The Modi government has tried to insult specific sections of society through such actions. We will protest against this and demand justice."
The BJP has not yet reacted to this matter. However, the Congress has taken up the issue and is likely to show significant opposition in the coming days.
