Muktapur: 18 patients of diarrhea
Nagpur, Dt. 30: 18 patients have been found today while visiting Muktapur (Islampur) and inspecting the outbreak situation. There is a decrease in the number of patients compared to the previous two days. All the patients have been treated and discharged. There are currently no patients admitted. At present, water is being supplied through tankers. Also, on May 27 at Bishnoor under Narkhed taluka, due to the release of water from the Jam project, the tube well in the Jam river was blocked, and the citizens of the place were infected with diarrhea due to the supply of contaminated water. Today, on May 30, 42 patients have been infected. 9 of them were admitted as inpatients. All the patients have been discharged with medication through Primary Health Center Bishnoor as they have mild symptoms. Currently there is no patient recruitment. Public awareness is being created about boiling water and drinking it, or using Mediclor. Adequate stock of medicine is available at primary health center level.
Village Development Officer Bhishnoor has informed that the water supply of the tube well has been cut due to the flood and water will be supplied from another tube well and a private well. Adequate stock of medicine has been provided to both the primary health centers from the district level. Dr. Ambulance is available 24 hours at both places for urgent referral services. Solokar said.
