NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) sweeps Malegaon! Unanimous victory in the Nagar Panchayat for the first time.
In the first-ever elections to the newly formed Malegaon Nagar Panchayat in Nashik district, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Ajit Pawar has secured a decisive victory. In the elections for the 17-member Nagar Panchayat, the Ajit Pawar faction won 12 seats, securing a clear majority.
The Sharad Pawar faction managed to win only 3 seats, while the BJP and independent candidates secured one seat each. With this victory, the Ajit Pawar faction will establish its rule over the Malegaon Nagar Panchayat for the first time.
Reacting to the victory, Ajit Pawar faction leader and former MLA Balasaheb Sansare said,
"The people of Malegaon have chosen development and stability. We will ensure the all-round development of the town in the next five years."
