Nagpur Municipal Corporation Employees Get Good News! Major Update on DA Arrears
Nagpur: Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) employees have received some good news just before Diwali. Employees will receive their pending dearness allowance (DA) arrears for the period from January 2022 to June 30, 2024, covering 30 months. This news has already set the tone for a happy Diwali for NMC employees.
The arrears will be disbursed in 15 installments, with the first installment being added to the employees' November salary. The Municipal Commissioner of Nagpur has issued a circular regarding the payment of these arrears as per the directives of the finance department of the corporation.
A delegation from the National Nagpur Corporation Employees Association (INTUC) had met the Municipal Commissioner earlier this month regarding these demands. On September 10, they had requested that the revised transport allowance be implemented, and the DA arrears be paid before Diwali, in line with the Maharashtra government’s decision.
Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary had taken these demands into consideration positively and assured the delegation that their concerns would be addressed sympathetically. Soon after, the necessary steps were taken, and now, with the issuance of the circular, there is a wave of joy among the Nagpur Municipal Corporation employees.
