Nagpur, Date 7: The state government will adopt the artificial sand or M sand policy with a view to limiting the immeasurable sand extraction in the river. According to this policy, a concession of Rs. 400 per brass will be given in the amount of ownership fee for setting up M sand units at various places in the district. In view of environmental protection, more and more crusher entrepreneurs in the district should take advantage of the artificial sand (M sand) policy as per the rules and set up M sand projects and produce quality sand, appealed the state Revenue Minister and Guardian Minister of Nagpur Chandrashekhar Bawankule here today.
A workshop based on artificial sand production was organized today at the District Planning Bhavan in Sadar. Speaking on the occasion, District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar, District Mining Officer Dr. Atul Dod, Deputy Director of Geology and Mining Directorate Dr. Shriram Kadu, all the sub-divisional officers of the district, Tehsildars etc. were present on this occasion.
The policy of making sand from stone is being implemented by the state government to use artificial sand instead of natural sand. Large government and private construction projects are being built in the district and since the use of M-sand will be mandatory in all government construction projects in stages, a large amount of sand is required for these projects. He directed that the artificial sand M-sand policy should be adopted for environmental protection and that the legal aspects and this policy should be known and worked effectively.
Cities are expanding. Metropolises are growing. A new Nagpur will be built in the coming time. A large amount of sand will be required for this construction. Mr. Bawankule said that artificial sand production will be important for building a developed Nagpur. On this occasion, the crusher entrepreneurs present interacted with the Guardian Minister Mr. Bawankule.
District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar gave information about the current status of M-sand in the district as well as the ongoing project through an introduction. M-Sand policy has been prepared as a solution for proper use of sand to maintain the ecological balance of rivers. District Mining Officer Atul Dod gave information about this through a presentation.

The ground-breaking ceremony of various development works under the Urban Post-Dalit Reform Scheme in various wards of Yerkheda Nagar Panchayat in Kamathi taluka was held today by Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule. The ground-breaking ceremony of works worth a total of Rs 5.44 crore was held by him. Former MLA Tekchand Savarkar, Sub-Divisional Officer Sandeep Bhaske, Tehsildar Ganesh Jagdale, Administrator Amar Handa were present on this occasion.
