New Delhi: The proceedings of the Lok Sabha started with uproar today. Opposition MPs created a ruckus over the Maha Kumbh accident and demanded a discussion. Opposition MPs reached in front of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla raising slogans. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla asked the MPs who created a ruckus whether the public has elected you for the ruckus, if you want to run the House then sit on your seat.
There will be a discussion on the motion of thanks on the President's address in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. South Delhi BJP MP Ramveer Singh Bidhuri will move a motion of thanks on the President's address in the Lok Sabha. While Rajya Sabha BJP MP Kiran Chaudhary will start the debate on the motion of thanks. Neeraj Shekhar will support the proposal. Apart from this, Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) Chairman Jagdambika Pal will present the report of the JPC formed on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 in the Lok Sabha. In this report, views and evidence have been presented on various aspects of the bill. This report will be presented in both Hindi and English languages.

On the second day i.e. on February 1, the Finance Minister presented the budget for the financial year 2024-25.
