Over 200 folk art forms in Karnataka - Dr. Jagannath Hebble
Nagpur, 17th - Information on Karnataka's folk art, folk culture, folk literature, folk songs and folk dances. There are more than 200 art forms in Karnataka, he said, referring to the names of these art forms.
The lecture on "Karnataka Folklore" was organized in a series of webinars organized by the South Central Region Cultural Center, Nagpur. There are some well known folk dances and tribal dances in Karnataka like Dholu Kunitha, Gorwara Kunitha, Puja Kunitha, Chakri Bhajan, Lambani dance etc. Karnataka's folklore, regional literature conveys the message of peace and prosperity to the entire country, he said.
