Police raid on rave party in Thane, 100 detained
-A large quantity of drugs and liquor recovered; 25 bikes also seized
Mumbai A day before the New Year, police raided a rave party in Thane, Maharashtra. Thane Crime Branch team took action against this party and detained more than 100 boys and girls.
The police conducted this raid at around 2 am on Saturday-Sunday night, in which a large quantity of narcotics were recovered. According to Thane Police, this rave party was organized near Vadavali Beach on Ghodbunder Road in Thane, adjacent to Mumbai.
Police said that we had received information about a rave party late at night. After this the raid was conducted. During this period, most of the detained boys and girls were found dancing in an intoxicated state. Their medical test is being conducted. The party was going on in a private plot.
Two youths of 19 and 23 years who organized the party arrested
According to the police, 70 grams of charas, MDMA, LSD (0.41 grams), ecstasy pills (2.10 grams), ganja (200 grams) and a lot of liquor have been recovered from the arrested people. Ganja material, DJ and 29 motorcycles have also been recovered from the spot. Tejas Anil Kubal (23), Sujal Mahadev Mahajan (19), who organized the party, have been arrested.
On this entire matter, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that the police is alert and action is being taken. Drugs including MD have been recovered. The case has been registered. We have taken a pledge for a drug-free Mumbai and strict action is being taken.
