
Population Policy to be implemented in Uttar Pradesh soon to control population!
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government will come up with a plan to control the growing population in the state. July 11 is World Population Day. Special measures have been taken for population control from 2021 to 2030.
Steps are being taken by the state government to provide better facilities to the people and development of the state. Poverty and illiteracy are the reasons for population growth. Some societies do not have population awareness. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, "We are trying to make them aware of this." A presentation was made to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday.
According to the new population control policy in Uttar Pradesh, the birth rate is targeted to be 2.1 per cent by 2026. According to the National Family Health Survey, the birth rate in Uttar Pradesh is now 2.7 per cent. This figure is more than 2.2 per cent of the national birth rate. Attempts will be made to bring the birth rate to 1.9 per cent by 2030. Emphasis will be placed on family planning and health facilities. Planning will be boosted as health facilities will help reduce infant and maternal mortality rates.
Uttar Pradesh has a population of about 23 crore. According to the 2011 census, the population of Uttar Pradesh was 19 crore 98 lakh 12 thousand 341. Uttar Pradesh accounts for 16.5 per cent of India's total population. Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh has the highest population. Prayagraj has a population of 59 lakh 54 thousand 391. Mahoba region has the lowest population at 8 lakh 75 thousand 958.
