Prajwal Revanna suspended from JDS -Party's big decision amid opposition's siege

Bengaluru. There is a stir in the politics of Karnataka. Prajjwal Revanna, who is facing allegations of sexual harassment from several women, has been suspended from JD-S. JD(S) Core Committee Chairman GT Deve Gowda gave this information.
He said that we welcome the SIT against Prajjwal Revanna. We have decided to recommend to the National President of our party to suspend him from the party till the completion of the SIT investigation.
Let us tell you that in the current Lok Sabha elections, Revanna is the party's candidate from Hassan seat of Karnataka. During the JDS core committee meeting, a clash broke out between Congress and JDS workers outside a hotel.
Speaking to the media after the core committee meeting, GT Deve Gowda said, 'We have also made a unanimous resolution to suspend him (Prajjwal Revanna) from the party. In this regard, we have also recommended to our party president HD Deve Gowda, because he is a Lok Sabha member, so we want the party president to take action on this. We have appealed to them to take immediate action.
BJP welcomed JDS's decision
BJP has welcomed this decision of JDS. Union Minister Rajeev Chandrashekhar said that BJP has zero tolerance policy regarding atrocities against women. During this, he also targeted Congress. The BJP leader has accused Congress of adopting double standards and being selective on this issue.
Kumaraswamy cornered Congress
Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy accused Congress of tarnishing the image of his family. Speaking to the media, he said, 'This is a ploy by Congress to destroy the image of our family. What is the role of Deve Gowda ji or me in this? We are not responsible for those things. This is a personal matter of Prajjwal Revanna. I am not in touch with him. It is the responsibility of the government to bring them before the law. Morally, we have decided to take some decisions.
Let us tell you that Prajjwal is contesting from Hassan Lok Sabha seat of Karnataka, where voting was held on April 26. According to police sources, as soon as videos related to the MP started surfacing, he fled the country after the voting was over.
