Presidential Medals Announced for Maharashtra Police, Prison, and Fire Service Personnel on the Eve of Independence Day
On the eve of Independence Day, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs announced the list of Presidential Medal recipients. Personnel from Maharashtra’s police force, prison department, fire service, as well as the Home Guards and Civil Defence, have been honored for their distinguished and meritorious service.
Three individuals, including Maharashtra’s Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Shirish Ravindra Jain, have been awarded the ‘President’s Medal for Distinguished Service’.
President’s Medal for Distinguished Service:
Shirish Ravindra Jain – Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Maharashtra
Subhash Nanasaheb Bhujang – Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), Maharashtra
Sanjay Rajaram Vaichale – Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), Maharashtra
Prison Service:
Sanjeev Sakharam Ghanekar – Subhedar
Sanjay Rajaramji Talware – Havaldar
Medal for Meritorious Service (Police Service):
The list includes Sanjay Bajirao Jadhav (DIG), Vijaykumar Gopinath Magar (DIG), Digambar Pandurang Pradhan (SP), Prashant Radhakrishna Kulkarni (DySP), Bhagirath Shivaji Deshmukh (DySP), Pravin Vinayak Tejale (DySP), Manojkumar Madhavrao Yadav (DySP), Vaibhavkumar Jagdevrao Jadhav (PI), Santosh Mansing Barge (PI), Vishwajit Vasant Kaingade (PI), and Jitendra Anand Kadam (PI), along with numerous Police Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and Head Constables. Fire Services:
Shankar Uttam Misal – Chief Fire Officer
Shailesh Mahadev Jagtap – Fireman
Correctional/Prison Services:
Vikas Hanmantu Rajnalwar – Superintendent (Group B)
Mahesh Laxman Gadnaik – Havaldar
