Public representatives should accept the role of helping the common man - Eknath Shinde*
Nagpur, Date 12: Public representatives should be prepared to change laws as per the need without getting caught up in the law and red tape by prioritizing the issues of the common man. For this, the powers given through the Constitution should be used, asserted Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today.
Shinde was speaking while giving guidance on the topic 'Responsibility of public representatives towards the constituencies and the constitutional platform available for this through the House' on behalf of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Board in the Legislative Council Hall. Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council Dr. Neelam Gorhe, Secretary of the Legislative Council Mrs. Meghna Talekar were present on this occasion.
Expressing the need to continuously cultivate this feeling that the citizens of the constituency elected me. Therefore, I want to work for them only, Deputy Chief Minister Shinde said. The position received should be fully utilized to reduce the suffering in the lives of the people and provide them with happiness. As a responsible public representative, one should understand the suffering of the people and if all the ways of the Constitution are followed to resolve it, the life of every citizen of the constituency will be bearable, he expressed his belief on this occasion.
Democracy is a sacred temple and the common people are my deity. With this feeling, it is necessary to be a good student to become a good public representative. Expressing the feeling that I still consider myself a student, Shinde said that it is my constant role to make the democratic system people-oriented. Democracy is the holy Ganga flowing between both the people and the public representatives. He said on this occasion that it is the responsibility of the government and the administration to keep this Ganga of development flowing and not to allow it to be polluted.

Along with this, about 5 crore people have benefited from schemes like Govt. Apna Dari. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that he is satisfied that he is fulfilling the responsibility of fulfilling the wishes and aspirations of the people as a public representative.
