
Pune city to build subway, master plan to solve traffic congestion!
Pune: Traffic congestion in Pune city is becoming a matter of concern day by day. Due to the large amount of traffic in the central area of Pune, citizens and employees are facing great inconvenience. To solve this, a proposal has been made to develop a network of underground roads in the city and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also given similar instructions to the administration.
A meeting was held in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to discuss infrastructure measures by Mahametro, Pune Municipal Corporation and Police Administration for the overall development of Pune city. Local MLA Hemant Rasane attended this meeting. Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Ajitdada Pawar, Union Minister of State Shri. Muralidharji Mohol, Minister of Higher and Technical Education Shri. Chandrakant Dada Patil, Minister of State for Home Shri. Yogeshji Kadam and other leaders were present at this meeting.
On this occasion, the Honorable Chief Minister has instructed the administration to plan the construction of subways to solve the traffic congestion in the central area of Pune. This will give a real boost to the ongoing Shaniwarwada to Swargate and Sarasbagh to Shaniwarwada subway projects.
Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram has also expressed his support for developing a network of underground roads to solve the long-term traffic congestion in the central part of the city. On Thursday, Municipal Commissioner Kishore Ram, along with MLA Hemant Rasne and Deputy Commissioner of Police Hrishikesh Rawale, visited the Kasba Peth assembly constituency and reviewed the traffic situation. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is working on short-term and long-term solutions.
