Rabies Scare from Milk! Panic in Village After Buffalo's Death; 30 People Vaccinated

A shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh has created an atmosphere of fear among villagers. Following the death of a buffalo due to rabies, fears of infection spread among those who had consumed her milk or products made from it. Consequently, approximately 30 people immediately received the anti-rabies vaccine.
According to reports, the buffalo in question had been bitten a few days earlier by a dog suspected of having rabies. She subsequently fell ill and died within a few days. Meanwhile, panic gripped the village after it came to light that several people had consumed the buffalo's milk.
Taking the situation seriously, the Health Department implemented immediate measures. Citizens suspected of having come into contact with the animal were administered the anti-rabies vaccine as a preventive measure. Doctors stated that the likelihood of rabies transmission through the consumption of boiled milk is extremely low; nevertheless, vaccination was carried out as a precaution.
Prior instances of similar nature have also surfaced, where hundreds of people sought vaccination out of fear after consuming products made from a buffalo's milk.
Currently, the situation in the village remains under control, and no cases of infection have been confirmed. However, the administration has appealed to the public to refrain from spreading rumors and to seek medical advice.
