Rage in Arthur Road Jail! Gangster with underworld connections attacked; Two gangs clash

Attack On Gangster Arthur Road Jail: A shocking incident of an attack on notorious gangster Prasad Pujari has come to light in the high-security Arthur Road Central Jail in Mumbai. Taking action in this entire case, Mumbai Police has registered a case against a total of 7 prisoners including Prasad Pujari.
According to the police, the internal fight between two different groups in the jail escalated to such an extent that the matter reached the point of violence. The jail administration took the incident seriously and immediately filed a complaint at the NM Joshi police station, where the police have registered a case of rioting and assault under Section 194 (2) of the Indian Penal Code.
A police officer said that the seven prisoners against whom a case has been registered in this case include Irfan Rahim Khan, Shuaib Khan alias Bhuraya, Ayub Anumuddin Sheikh, Mukesh Sitaram Nishad, Lokendra Uday Singh Rawat, Siddhesh Santosh Bhosale and goon Prasad Vitthal Pujari. Both the police and the jail administration have clarified that no prisoner was seriously injured in this gang war.
Meanwhile, the incident has raised many questions about the security arrangements of the jail. The jail administration has started an internal inquiry into the entire incident to find out how such violence took place despite the high security arrangements.
Who is Prasad Pujari?
Prasad Pujari's name has been linked to the underworld. He was absconding for two decades and was living in China with his wife. He had gone there on a travel visa and the visa expired in 2008. After being on the run for a long time, he was brought to India from China in March 2024 and is currently lodged in Arthur Road Jail. According to police records, his full name is Prasad alias Subhash Vitthal Pujari alias Siddharth Shetty alias Sidhu alias Sid alias Johnny.
