Rahul Gandhi needs mathematics...', said Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, showed mirror to Akhilesh Yadav on NEET paper leak allegations
NEET UG Paper Leak Row: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday said that Rahul Gandhi and his faction are 'shedding crocodile tears', and the ground reality related to the paper leak during the erstwhile United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government and Akhilesh Yadav's government in Uttar Pradesh will increase the troubles of both. The education minister made this statement after the opposition targeted him on Monday over the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) controversy in the Lok Sabha.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi led the opposition's attack on the government on the paper leak issue in Parliament, saying that there is a very serious problem in the country's examination system and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has blamed everyone except himself for it. Countering this, the Education Minister questioned why the Congress-led government 'failed' to implement the bills preventing malpractice in educational institutions, including the Prohibition of Unfair Conduct Bill, 2010, when it was in power.
'Leader of Opposition's faction shedding crocodile tears'
Dharmendra Pradhan wrote in a post on 'X', "The Leader of Opposition and his faction are shedding crocodile tears. The ground reality of paper leaks during the earlier UPA government and Akhilesh Yadav's government in Uttar Pradesh will increase difficulties for both Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav."
He said that perhaps Rahul Gandhi understands the basics and mathematics of unfair practices very well and this explains why the Congress government failed to implement the bills to prevent malpractice in educational institutions, including the Prohibition of Unfair Conduct Bill-2010.
'No evidence of paper leak found in the last seven years'
He said that can the Leader of Opposition tell under what compulsion, pressure and reasons the Congress party refused to bring a law to curb irregularities? The minister also said that no evidence of paper leak has been found in the last seven years.
