"If I speak, controversies arise and rumors are spread... I feel afraid to speak now," he said, taking an indirect dig at critics and trolls.
Rajinikanth's friend and co-star Kamal Haasan was also present at the event. Rajinikanth said, "I feel a bit apprehensive when invited to speak at an event.
