Rajmata Jijau Financial Assistance Scheme for Empowerment of Disabled Children - Dr. Nitin Raut

Nagpur, dt. 30: Mothers of multi-disabled children in rural areas in need of support will be given an allowance of Rs.500 per month from the Rajmata Jijau financial assistance scheme started by the Zilla Parishad. Therefore, the care, protection and empowerment of the disabled children will be helped, said the Guardian Minister. Nitin Raut said.

The Rajmata Jijau Financial Assistance Scheme was launched at the hands of Raut and in the presence of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Sunil Kedar. The activities being implemented by Nagpur Zilla Parishad for the disabled are commendable. The state government took note of the plan prepared by the Zilla Parishad for issuing Global Identity Card (UDID) to the disabled in rural areas. It also issued a government decision to implement it across the state. This is a matter of pride. The Rajmata Jijau Financial Assistance Scheme, launched on a monthly basis to provide financial assistance to the mothers of multi-disabled children from economically weaker sections, is also a guideline. This will help in purchasing necessary materials for the treatment of disabled children. Efforts should be made to implement this scheme effectively and provide maximum benefits to the needy beneficiaries, said the Guardian Minister. Raut said.
Health check up of students of Zilla Parishad schools is done by the health department. An initiative should be taken to create a 'Health Card' for each student based on these health check records. Disability beneficiary house plan should be changed: Sunil Kedar
The Zilla Parishad is providing five per cent fund to the Divyang brothers. Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Sunil Kedar suggested that necessary changes should be made in the design of this house to make it affordable for the disabled. He said that it was commendable that Nagpur Zilla Parishad organized health check-up camps at taluka level for issuing Global Identity Card (UDID) to the disabled in rural areas.
