Ratan Tata honored with first Udyog Ratna Award


CM Shinde reached Tata's house with both his deputy CMs
Mumbai Ratan Tata, former chairman of the Tata Group, has been honored with the Udyog Ratna Award by the Maharashtra government. On Saturday, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde along with his two deputy CMs Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis reached Ratan Tata's residence and honored him with the first Udyog Ratna award.
CM Shinde informed that the Udyog Ratna Award has been started by the Government of Maharashtra for the first time. The contribution of Ratan Tata and Tata Group to the country is immense. I thank him for accepting this award given by the Government of Maharashtra.
After being honored, 85-year-old Ratan Tata thanked everyone. Devendra Fadnavis wished him a long life while giving his best wishes.

Let us tell you that on July 28, the Maharashtra government had announced the Maharashtra Udyog Ratna Award to Ratan Tata. Industries Minister Uday Samant told that this award will be given to the industrialist working in Maharashtra. To encourage young and women entrepreneurs, the government has decided to give awards.
Ratan Tata is also famous for his simplicity. Ratan Tata took over the reins of the Tata Group in 1991. After this, he took the Tata group to many countries with his business decisions. Apart from automobiles, Tata group's involvement in communication and chemical sector increased. He remained the chairman of Tata Sons till 2012. Ratan Tata was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
